Storytelling is an incredibly powerful tool in engaging audiences for promotional videos. Our laid back interviewing style makes respondents feel relaxed, eliciting honest insights which we then use to form a narrative. Cutaways, music and motion graphics titles then help to support the story.

It isn't always possible to convey a particular message using natural responses, particularly if you want to add humour to a piece that you wouldn’t typically capture in an interview setting. In this instance a scripted video using a specific shot list and trained actors might help production run more smoothly. Less uncertainty in production provides more control over the message being conveyed. Here content can also be repurposed to suit various channels and modes of delivery.
The Process.
📋 Pre-production: We work closely with you to produce a full list of project requirements. We plan every aspect including storyboard, shoot schedule, kit list and team members.
🎥 Production: We capture the required footage using various film techniques within as many days as it takes. We like to maximise shoot days so no time on location is wasted.
🧑💻 Editing: We backup all footage and begin processing the clips within editing software. This process also involves colour correction and post-production effects.
🎧 Audio: Our audio team work with you to select a soundtrack for the project. Audio is mastered to be optimised for any device.
💬 Motion graphics: We design and animate attractive typographic titles to be used as text captions within the project.
🚀 Render… and beyond: We deliver the project in the preferred format and allow amendments at this stage.

We use 4K mirrorless cameras for filming, but don’t be fooled by their size! Our compact kit keeps us portable when working on location, giving us more time to get the job done the right way. Our selection of prime lenses and lighting give our work a beautiful cinematic feel. We also use gimbals which enables us to capture silky smooth motion, while our CAA certified drone pilots allow us to showcase subjects from a variety of angles and perspectives. For us, having access to the best equipment we can get our hands on is crucial so we can continue innovating and working efficiently without compromising on quality.

We work on productions of all sizes and budgets. Sometimes productions lend themselves to a more mobile set-up and a single videographer is all that’s need. On other occasions a larger crew is needed and we work with a wider team of trusted associate professionals including camera operators, sound engineers and producers.

It all depends on your requirements and we would work with you to establish exactly what you need during pre-production. We’re very happy to deliver a final edited video along with the raw footage so you use the footage however you see fit. We provide an ongoing service and are always happy to rework your footage later down the line.

Client: School of Computing and Engineering - University of Huddersfield
Details: As part of a video series promoting the Games Development courses at the University of Huddersfield, we created an interview with Dr Duke Gledhill, an academic from the School of Computing and Engineering. The goal was to highlight the course's facilities and key selling points.
Filmed on location with a two-camera setup, the interview aimed to strike a balance between candid and intimate by using a semi-structured format. In the edit, we brought Dr Gledhill’s insights to life by weaving in b-roll footage of students at work, examples of their projects, and scenes of on-campus activity.
